What Is Technology?
Technology is the process in which human modify nature in order to meet human’s needs and wants. However, most people still thinks of it in terms of its artifacts. Today, when the word TECHNOLOGY is used, it often refers to high technology like cell phones, computers and software, or aircrafts, water-treatment plants, pesticides, microwave overs or birth-control pills rather than technology in general. However, when it is the anthropologists who used the word technology, they usually refer all the way back 1 million years ago when the controlled used of fire was first developed. But technology is more than all these tangible parts.
The term technology is a product of science and engineering and the study of the natural world. The two parts of science are body of knowledge that’s been accumulated over time and a scientific process inquiry which generates knowledge regarding the natural world.
